San Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria is not starting in Friday's lineup against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Longoria will take a break after LaMonte Wade Jr. was announced as San Francisco's designated hitter.
According to Baseball Savant on 113 batted balls this season, Longoria has recorded a 12.4% barrel rate and a .330 expected weighted on-base average.
