Cincinnati Reds backstop Tucker Barnhart is starting Friday's series opener at the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Devin Mesoraco is getting the night off. Barnhart will hit sixth behind Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce.
It's a small sample size of 35 plate appearances, but Barnhart owns a .360 wOBA this season. We project him to record a .251 wOBA with two jacks over the remainder of the season.
