St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Lars Nootbaar is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against left-hander Braxton Garrett and the Miami Marlins.
The lefty-hitting Nootbaar is taking a seat against a southpaw after going 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Monday's series opener. Juan Yepez is manning right field and hitting fifth Tuesday while Albert Pujols enters the lineup as the designated hitter and No. 6 batter. Dylan Carlson is hitting second and Brendan Donovan is batting seventh.
