The Cincinnati Reds did not list Kyle Farmer in their lineup for Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants.
Farmer will take the afternoon off while Matt Reynolds starts against the Giants. Reynolds will play shortstop and is listed sixth in the batting order.
Farmer is building off of his strong 2021 season, with 5 home runs, 27 runs, 38 RBI, 4 stolen bases and a .282 batting average over his first 246 plate appearances. His current .766 OPS is the highest mark of his career so far.
