San Diego Padres infielder Jake Cronenworth is not starting in Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Cronenworth will take a break after C.J. Abrams was moved to second, Ha-Seong Kim was shifted to shortstop, and Sergio Alcantara was named Thursday's third baseman.
Per Baseball Savant on 214 batted balls this season, Cronenworth has accounted for a 5.6% barrel rate and a .321 expected weighted on-base average.
