The St. Louis Cardinals did not include Yadier Molina in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Molina will sit out Sunday's game while Andrew Knizner starts at catcher and bats eighth.
Molina has made 92 plate appearances so far in his age-39 season, and is batting .239 with a .576 OPS and 2 home runs.
