Los Angeles Angels infielder David Fletcher has been placed on the 10-day injured list once again due to a hip injury.
Fletcher landed on the IL earlier in the year due to a hip injury, and he now says it has never really improved. As a result, he's heading back on the shelf, and surgery will now be considered as an option for his recovery. In the meantime, Luis Rengifo has been called up from Triple-A to take Fletcher's roster spot.
In 41 plate appearances this season, Fletcher has a .158 batting average with a .483 OPS, 2 runs and 2 RBI.
