Los Angeles Angels infielder Andrew Velazquez is batting ninth in Thursday's lineup against the Cleveland Guardians.
Velazquez will take over at shortstop after Tyler Wade was shifted to second base and Jack Mayfield was benched against right-hander Cal Quantrill.
