Texas Rangers outfielder Leody Taveras is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against right-hander Corey Kluber and the New York Yankees.
Taveras is taking a seat after starting the last two games. D.J. Peters is replacing Taveras in center field and hitting seventh.
numberFire’s models project Peters for 11.1 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rangers have an implied total of 3.5 runs, which is third-lowest in the majors on Wednesday. Kluber is registering a 25.4 strikeout percentage and a 10.7 walk percentage this season, with a 4.16 xERA and a .311 xwOBA.
