According to Jeff Passan, the New York Mets have reportedly acquired pitcher Rich Hill in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for pitcher Tommy Hunter and catcher Matt Dyer.
Hill will head to New York after the Mets traded two players for the veteran left-hander. Expect Hill to immediately fill in a rotation spot for the injury-riddled Mets.
In 95.1 innings this season, Hill has produced a 4.44 expected earned run average and 91 strikeouts.
