Max Kepler M. Kepler

Max Kepler sitting Thursday for Twins' matinee

Minnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Carlos Rodon and the Chicago White Sox.

What It Means:

Kepler is taking a day for some physical and mental rest following a 1-for-14 stretch. Alex Kirilloff will shift to right field in place of Kepler. Miguel Sano will enter the lineup on first base and bat sixth.

numberFire’s models project Sano for 8.7 FanDuel points and he has a $2,800 salary on Thursday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins have an implied total of 3.7 runs. Among Thursday's 18 listed starters, Rodon has the third-best strikeout percentage this season (36.2).
