Oakland Athletics utility-man Tony Kemp is not starting in Tuesday's lineup against the Texas Rangers.
Kemp will sit on Tuesday night with Mark Canha in left field, Chad Pinder in right, and Matt Chapman at third base.
Per Baseball Savant on 113 batted balls this season, Kemp has produced a .236 expected average and a 23% hard hit rate.
