St. Louis Cardinals infielder Tommy Edman has been scratched from Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins.
Edman was originally slated to lead off and start in right field, but he's been removed due to "right trunk tightness." As a result, Lane Thomas will now take over in right, and he'll bat eighth against Trevor Rogers after a lineup shakeup.
In 297 plate appearances this season, Edman has a .264 batting average with a .692 OPS, 4 home runs, 36 runs and 18 RBI.
