The Boston Red Sox did not list Christian Vazquez in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Vazquez will get some rest Sunday. Kevin Plawecki will cover catching duties and bat ninth.
Vazquez is having another strong season in 2021. He has 2 home runs, 17 runs, 14 RBI, 4 stolen bases and a .283 batting average over 114 plate appearances so far.
