Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward is starting in Monday's series opener against left-hander Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals.
Heyward will replace Steven Souza in right field and hit seventh. He's gone 3-for-8 with 2 RBI over his last two outings but has just a .217 batting average for the year.
