New York Yankees pitcher Jordan Montgomery will start the sixth game of the season on July 29 versus the Philadelphia Phillies.
Montgomery made a couple appearances late last year after recovering from Tommy John surgery but he's been limited to just 31 1/3 innings over the last two seasons. The 27-year-old left-hander owns a 3.91 ERA and 21.9 strikeout percentage over 186 2/3 career innings in the pros.
numberFire's models expect Montgomery to score 19.3 FanDuel points in his first start. For the season, he's projected for a 3.45 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 83 strikeouts and 18 walks over 70 1/3 innings.
