Dodgers' second base job an open competition

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said the second base job remains an open competition.

What It Means:

Gavin Lux lost his grip on the starting job by arriving to camp late for an undisclosed reason. Enrique Hernandez and Chris Taylor have started at second base in the Dodgers' exhibition games the past two days. Lux went 18-for-75 (.240) with 24 strikeouts in his first taste of the bigs last year after tearing it up in the minors.

numberFire's models expect Lux to record a .269 batting average and .790 OPS with 6 homers, 21 RBI, and 22 runs scored over 174 plate appearances this season.
