Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton has experienced a setback with his left shoulder.
Buxton felt renewed discomfort in the shoulder while participating in batting practice on both Sunday and Monday. An MRI ruled out structural damage, but this puts a pause on his minor league rehab assignment. Buxton was previously expected to return to the Twins this weekend.
Buxton is hitting .262/.314/.513 with 10 homers, 30 doubles, 46 RBI, 14 steals, and 48 scores in 295 plate appearances (82 games) for the Twins this season.
