Colorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez is dealing with a "tired arm" and the club is considering shutting him down for the rest of the season, manager Bud Black said.
It doesn't sound like Marquez will require surgery, but the injury may still keep the right-hander out until 2020. He's gone 12-5 in 28 starts this season.
Marquez owns a 4.76 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 175 strikeouts and 35 walks over 174 innings.
