Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Kevin Newman is leading off in Wednesday afternoon's series finale versus left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals.
The Nationals are sending a southpaw to the hill, so the Pirates are using Newman in the leadoff spot. He's hitting .317 with an .811 OPS versus lefties this season. Jose Osuna is batting fifth after hitting sixth on Tuesday.
