Cincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez left Friday's game early with a left thumb sprain.
Suarez suffered the injury attempting to make a tag in the sixth inning. He went for x-rays, which fortunately came back negative. The Reds consider him day-to-day.
Suarez was 0-for-2 before leaving, dropping his batting average to .259 on the season.
