Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras has been placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday afternoon.
Contreras is dealing with a right hamstring strain, according to the club, and he will be sidelined for at least 10 days. In the interim, expect Victor Caratini to get the majority of the starts behind the plate, and Taylor Davis was recalled from Iowa.
In 340 plate appearances this season, Contreras has 19 home runs, 57 RBI, a .275 batting average and an .890 OPS.
