Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols is not starting in Friday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Pujols will receive the night off against Seattle with Matt Thaiss starting at first base.
In 280 at-bats this season, Pujols is hitting .243 with 14 home runs and 56 RBI.
