St. Louis Cardinals infielder Matt Carpenter has been removed from the injured list and has been activated for the big-league club.
Carpenter had been dealing with a lower back strain, sidelining him for about two weeks. But as the All-Star Break comes to a close, he is making his return to the team.
In 326 plate appearances this season, Carpenter has 10 home runs, 28 RBI, a .216 batting average and a .706 OPS.
