Miami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez (shoulder) will resume his throwing progression on Monday, manager Don Mattingly said.
“It’s a matter of getting him built back up...That’s going to take a little bit of time,” Mattingly said. Lopez hasn't pitched since June 15 due to a right shoulder strain.
Lopez was 5-5 through 14 starts before landing on the shelf. He owns a 4.23 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 73 strikeouts and 18 walks over 76 2/3 innings.
