Chicago Cubs pitcher Tyler Chatwood will start on Thursday versus the New York Mets.
Chatwood is filling the rotation spot left open when Kyle Hendricks landed on the IL with a shoulder injury. Chatwood has been used primarily in relief this season, making just 1 start in 17 appearances.
Chatwood owns a 3.60 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over 35 innings pitched. He has struck out 29 batters but also walked 21 this season.
