Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado exited Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs with a bone contusion in his left arm.
Arenado was drilled by Cole Hamels in the top of the fifth inning. It sounds like he avoided significant damage, but it's not clear how much time the star third baseman will miss. Ryan McMahon replaced Arenado at the hot corner on Wednesday afternoon.
Arenado is batting .330/.385/.602 with 17 home runs, 16 doubles, 57 RBI, 50 runs scored, and 2 steals through 291 plate appearances this season.
