Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jimmy Nelson will be recalled for a start on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins.
Nelson's start will come nearly 21 months since his last pitch in the majors as he completes his recovery from major shoulder surgery. The 29-year-old right-hander posted a 3.75 ERA with 29 strikeouts and 12 walks over 24 innings on his rehab assignment for Triple-A San Antonio.
Nelson recorded a 3.49 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with 199 K and 48 BB over 175 1/3 innings in 2017 before injuring his shoulder.
