The Houston Astros placed shortstop Carlos Correa on the 10-day injured list with a fractured rib.
Correa is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. Jack Mayfield, who was just called up Monday from Triple-A Round Rock, figures to see regular playing time for an injury-depleted Astros club.
Correa owns a .295/.360/.547 batting line with 11 homers, 13 doubles, 35 RBI, and 26 runs scored in 214 plate appearances this season.
