New York Mets pitcher Steven Matz will be evaluated on Monday after dealing with a nerve issue in his left forearm.
According to manager Mickey Callaway, Matz was unable to throw a bullpen session after experiencing a nerve issue that started two weeks ago. Look for an update on his status tomorrow after team doctors check his left forearm out.
In 35.0 innings pitched this season, Matz has produced a 3.86 ERA and 32 strikeouts.
