Texas Rangers pitcher Jason Hammel has announced his retirement the day after winning a roster spot, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The 36-year-old was a non-roster invitee to Rangers' camp, but is hanging it up after 13 big league seasons.
Hammel had a 4.62 ERA in 1,810.1 big league innings.
