Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jhoulys Chacin will start on Opening Day versus the St. Louis Cardinals, manager Craig Counsell announced.
Chacin went 15-8 and posted a 3.50 ERA with 156 strikeouts over 192 2/3 innings last season. The 31-year-old right-hander has been rather impressive so far this spring, albeit on a small sample size, with a 1.04 ERA across 8 2/3 frames.
numberFire's models expect Chacin to pick up 12 wins and record a 3.94 ERA with 159 strikeouts and 68 walks across 192 innings in 2019.
