4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 5/27/16
The Arizona Diamondbacks may have disappointed a few nights ago, but they're primed for a big night at home against a lefty.

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks. As always, we will not include today's game at Coors Field here. You likely don't need me to tell you to get exposure to Coors bats when possible, so load 'em up. Here are the other teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Arizona Diamondbacks didn't quite pull through as hard against a lefty on Wednesday as we thought they might. My bad, doe. All of the reasons that we loved them then are in line today, though, and they get the the advantage of playing in a much superior park. Let's do this dance again.

The Diamondbacks bring the San Diego Padres into the desert for a matchup against Christian Friedrich. This is his third start of the season, and the first two have seen him walk nine batters while striking out six. He did get a decent number of his strikeouts his last two times in the rotation, but those came in 2012 and 2014. With a 5.8% swinging-strike rate and 85.5% contact rate this year, we can safely assume those days are largely a thing of the past and indulge in the Diamondbacks.

Not only is Arizona fourth in wRC+ against lefties, but they blow the field away in hard-hit rate. They're at 36.8%, and the second-place Pittsburgh Pirates are all the way down at 34.7%. That gives us a disgusting number of options from which to choose, including a sub-$3,000 guy who can do this.

I don't know why Welington Castillo is $2,900 on FanDuel, but I do know that it gives me purpose in life. Stack these puppies and let that recency bias slink away.
