3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Hitters to Avoid on 9/27/16
Brad Miller has a brutal matchup against Chris Sale. Who else should you avoid on Tuesday's main slate?

As is the case in most daily fantasy sports, finding information on players you might want to roster is a lot easier than finding players to avoid.

While you can get away with a zero from a hitter in daily fantasy, you certainly don't want to target guys whose matchups aren't enticing.

Here are three hitters you may want to lessen your exposure to or even fade altogether on Tuesday.

Brad Miller, SS, Tampa Bay Rays

FanDuel Price: $3,700

Brad Miller has heated up at the plate in the second half and coming into Tuesday’s game, he has a seven-game hitting streak. However, that may come to an end tonight as the Tampa Bay Rays battle Chris Sale.

Miller has not hit lefties well throughout his career, boasting a .268 wOBA and 23.6% strikeout rate. This season, his wOBA against southpaws is .303 while his strikeout rate has climbed to 26.1% against them.

Sale has been superb against lefties, holding them to a .246 wOBA with a 31.5% strikeout rate. Lefties also have a hard-hit rate of just 26.6% against the throwback destroyer.

Yasmany Tomas, OF, Arizona Diamondbacks

FanDuel Price: $2,500

Yasmany Tomas blasted a homer and drove in five runs on Monday in route to probably winning whomever rostered him a ton of money. However, tonight Tomas and the Arizona Diamondbacks run up against Max Scherzer in a game that you might want to fade all of Arizona's righties.

Scherzer has been devastating against right-handers this season, limiting them to a .199 wOBA with a massive 37.6% strikeout rate. When he pitches at home, right-handers have just a .181 wOBA against him.

Across 686 career at-bats against righties, Tomas has a .303 wOBA and 26.0% strikeout rate. His walk rate is only 3.9 percent against right-handers for his career, and despite his big effort last night, Tomas should be avoided against Scherzer.

Coco Crisp, OF, Cleveland Indians

FanDuel Price: $2,500

Another player coming off a great fantasy night is Coco Crisp. The Cleveland Indians' switch-hitting outfielder went deep on Monday, and he now has a .400 average in his last seven games. He has a tough matchup tonight, though, as the Tribe takes on Justin Verlander.

Verlander is in the midst of a huge comeback season, and left-handers have once again taken the brunt of his dominance. Lefties have a .272 wOBA with a 31.1% strikeout rate and a hard-hit rate of just 25.7% against the Detroit Tigers' ace this season.

Crisp has posted a .312 wOBA as a lefty batting against right-handers while his hard-hit rate is just 24.8% this season. For his career, Crisp’s wOBA against righties is only .324, so with Verlander on the hill, it's probably best to avoid Crisp.
