4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 9/13/16
The Arizona Diamondbacks are a top-tier offense against left-handed pitchers, and they face a struggling one tonight at home. Which other offenses should we target in MLB DFS?

Stacking can be a controversial topic in many daily fantasy sports, but you can count baseball as a glaring exception. Here, it's universal.

Using multiple players on the same team on a given day presents you with the opportunity to double dip. If one of your players hits an RBI double, there's a good chance he drove in another one of your guys. When you get the points for both the run and the RBI, you'll be climbing the leaderboards fast.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our new stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks. Here are the teams you should be targeting in daily fantasy baseball today.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Arizona Diamondbacks have been thumping lefties the entire season, whether at home or on the road, and it's exactly what you'd expect from a lineup of their caliber. Tonight, they bring Jorge De La Rosa into the desert for a matchup at the offensively-inclined Chase Field. We be lickin' our chops.

The second half of the season has been far from kind to De La Rosa. Although he has lowered his ERA to 4.26, his 5.21 SIERA screams that something's not right, a sentiment that his 13.6% strikeout rate and 9.4% walk rate would validate. De La Rosa's ground-ball rate is above average at 47.4%, but opponents are still tagging him for a 33.9% hard-hit rate, largely nullifying any advantages he gets from the extra grounders.

Because the pricing on the Diamondbacks is so low, you won't need to get creative with your stacks at all. If they decide to bat Chris Owings second again, and you don't want a piece of his 29.2% hard-hit rate against lefties, you don't have to use him. Paul Goldschmidt, Welington Castillo, and Yasmany Tomas all have soft prices on FanDuel, and then you can sprinkle in guys like Brandon Drury or Jean Segura who likely have more upside than Owings. The stack has stupid potential, but it also gives you flexibility, and that's a simply delicious combo.
