Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 26
Cody Bellinger has been left out of the Dodgers' recent hot streak, but his advanced statistics indicate he should join the party in Week 26.

Jean Segura, SS, Seattle Mariners

An MVP darkhorse in the first half, Jean Segura has, like the playoff hopes of his Seattle Mariners, been on a downward spiral since the All Star Break. The 28-year old infielder carries a miserable .639 OPS in the second half, with just seven extra-base hits in 209 plate appearances.

Segura's absolutely bottomed out in September, with a nearly invisible .016 ISO on the month. A 19.7% hard contact rate over that span is hardly reassuring, but we might take solace in his slim 11.5% soft contact, to say nothing of a mere 5% swinging strikes and 4.2% strikeouts overall.

We might be running out of time for Segura's alarmingly low .200 BABIP on the month to significantly correct, but the contact-hitting speedster is set up to save some face in the season's final week against very hittable righties like Brett Anderson, Yovani Gallardo, Adrian Sampson, and Edwin Jackson. A low-$3,000 FanDuel salary makes the one-time fantasy mainstay into an intriguing roster filler this week.
