4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 9/18/18
Miguel Sano has a low floor but huge upside in tonight's matchup with Tigers southpaw Daniel Norris. What other cheap bats should you target?

Miguel Sano, 3B, Minnesota Twins

Price: $2,800

The Minnesota Twins' offense doesn't have a huge implied total tonight (4.25 runs), but that doesn't mean that their matchup with southpaw Daniel Norris and the Detroit Tigers isn't one that can be exploited for fantasy purposes.

Norris has an encouraging 3.88 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) on the season, but that comes in only an eight-game sample. If we look back to 2017 (22 games), his 4.94 SIERA was a brutal mark. His career-average SIERA sits at 4.47.

Last year saw him give up a 41.7% hard-hit rate with a 39.1% fly-ball rate, and he has not improved in that department in 2018, allowing 41.0% hard-hit rate and 46.3% fly-ball rate. He's having an especially tough time with right-handed bats, allowing a 4.59 xFIP with a 44.4% hard-hit rate and 50.8% fly-ball rate, giving righties massive upside in this matchup.

Miguel Sano isn't a guy who needs to be in an overly favorable spot to offer big upside, either. His wOBA is way down this year, to a lowly .298, but he's still boasting a .202 ISO on a 42.5% hard-hit rate and 41.2% fly-ball rate.
