3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 9/5/18
Coming off two big home runs, Marcell Ozuna could be a popular play, but he has a tough matchup tonight. What other players should we look to avoid?

Luis Severino, SP, New York Yankees

FanDuel Price: $10,800

With both the New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics trying to work their way into the American League playoff picture, and a potential Wild Card showdown on the horizon, tonight's matchup looms very large. In taking a deep dive into his statistical profile, Cy Young candidate Luis Severino may have a tough night this evening on the road in Oakland.

Severino faces an A's squad that ranks sixth in team weighted on-base average (wOBA) against right-handed pitching, at .328. And despite pitching in hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium, he's actually been better there than on the road both in traditional metrics like ERA (2.86 versus 3.77) and more advanced metrics like wOBA (.270, .307) and hard-hit rate (31.9%, 35.0%).

Severino has been brilliant in 2018, but for his hefty price tag, he may be one to pivot away from in a tough matchup.
