Joey Gallo mashes at home, and the Rangers boast Thursday's highest implied total, giving the lefty slugger huge upside. Which other budget-friendly bats should you target?

Miguel Sano, 3B, Minnesota Twins

Price: $2,800

The Minnesota Twins have Thursday's third-highest implied total (5.00) as they host southpaw Francisco Liriano and the Detroit Tigers.

The notoriously inconsistent Liriano posted a career-worst 5.09 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) in 2017, and he has done even worse this year, recording a 5.24 SIERA over 19 games. His 13.45% walk rate is also a career-high clip, while his 18.5% strikeout rate is a career-low mark.

Miguel Sano is not having a good season, either, with a lowly .308 wOBA and a strikeout rate pushing 40%, but he still offers plenty of upside.

He has shown his usual power, notching a .201 ISO, and his 44.4% hard-hit rate, 14.5% soft-hit rate and 43.6% fly-ball rates are all within a couple percentage points of his career averages.

He may not be consistent, but with Liriano's struggles, Sano has some major upside here.
