5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/31/18
Logan Morrison is making good contact against righties, and that gives him solid upside tonight. Which other budget-friendly hitters should you target on Thursday?

Logan Morrison, 1B, Minnesota Twins

Price; $2,500

Logan Morrison's contact numbers reveal some solid upside against righties this season. He has a 36.5% hard-hit rate and 46.3% fly-ball rate in the split, and that comes after he notched a 40.4% hard-hit and 46.3% fly-ball rate versus righties in 2017. His wOBA is way down, though, from .374 to .303, and that is thanks to an absurdly low .198 batting average on balls in play (BABIP).

His career-average BABIP against righties is .260, and he notched a .267 BABIP in the split last year. A BABIP as low as .198 is largely thanks to variance, and that means we can expect an increase in production moving forward, even if the way he's hitting the ball doesn't change.

His matchup tonight puts him a good spot to produce as well, with Shane Bieber making his Major League debut. Bieber is a promising prospect, but the Minnesota Twins have a solid 4.67 implied total in this one.
