We all know the type of upside Nolan Arenado brings on any given night, and that's why his price tag is so high. However, his floor is lower with a strikeout rate of 19.9% compared to the 15.6% rate it was at last season.

Arenado also has a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers' Kenta Maeda. Maeda has been filthy this year with a 13.9% swinging-strike rate and 3.25 SIERA. In his career, he has been especially nasty against right-handed hitters. He has held them to a .263 wOBA, including a 30.9% strikeout rate and 27.4% hard-hit rate.

Arenado's career wRC+ against right-handed pitching is just 107. His road wOBA against right-handed pitching is .335. These are slightly above average marks, but certainly not worth paying $4,300 for. Especially against Maeda, Arenado profiles as an avoid for DFS purposes tonight.
