3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 5/1/18
Ronald Acuna has flashed incredible tools since getting called up, but he has a brutal matchup with righty-killer Noah Syndergaard. Which other players are in a bad spot?

Ronald Acuna, OF, Atlanta Braves

FanDuel Price: $3,700

Ronald Acuna has made an impact right away for the Atlanta Braves, demonstrating his hit tool (sub 20.0% strikeout rate) as well as his power and speed (he already has a homer and a steal through just five games). However, his price has already soared (he is more expensive than fellow outfielder Justin Upton, for example), and he has to deal with Noah Syndergaard today.

Right-handed hitters have it pretty rough when they face the New York Mets' hard-throwing righty. They have posted just a .261 wOBA against Syndergaard in his career. This includes some very ugly metrics, including a 30.5% strikeout rate, 27.6% fly-ball rate, and 25.4% hard-hit rate. The Braves boast a meager 3.26 implied total.

Acuna will likely be a potent bat for years to come, but he's in a tough spot against Thor.
