3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 4/16/18
The Braves have a tough matchup against Aaron Nola, but we can still consider Freddie Freeman, who may fly under the radar.

Freddie Freeman, 1B, Atlanta Braves

FanDuel Price: $4,600

Any time we can get a talent like Freddie Freeman at lower ownership, we have to take notice. Freeman's matchup against Aaron Nola is far from perfect, but he'll have the platoon advantage and the forecast shows some promising double-digit mile per hour winds blowing out. Since 2016, Freeman owns a .417 wOBA and .289 isolated power (ISO) against righties.

Nola performed well in his last start -- and manager Gabe Kapler actually left him in the game -- but his overall numbers are down through his first 18 1/3 innings. The small sample size must be factored in, but an 18.3% strikeout rate and 11.3% walk rate is hardly intimidating. Even if we look historically at Nola's career marks against lefties, he has a 19.9% strikeout rate and 9.2% walk rate, which isn't enough to scare us off Freeman.

The overall spot isn't great for Atlanta Braves, but with few must-have plays on the slate tonight, you aren't risking much in betting on Freeman's talent winning out.
