3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on Opening Day
Charlie Blackmon's road matchup against a southpaw makes him a player to avoid on Opening Day. Who else should you shy away from?

Charlie Blackmon, OF, Colorado Rockies

FanDuel Price: $3,900

Charlie Blackmon is a terrific player, especially for fantasy, but this may not be the day to use him.

While this may surprise some people because Blackmon isn't viewed as a traditional power hitter, he is one of the Colorado Rockies who benefits the most from Coors Field. Over his career, he has a .413 wOBA at home, compared to just a .319 mark on the road. That is a massive drop, and it is much larger than the downgrade the rest of his teammates experienced away from Coors last season. As a team, the Rockies posted a .363 wOBA at home and a .302 wOBA on the road.

While Chase Field is traditionally considered to play as a hitter's park, the humidor they installed this offseason is expected to turn it into around a league-average park for offensive production. Add in the fact that Blackmon is facing Patrick Corbin, who held lefties to a .278 wOBA last year, and you have a pretty daunting matchup for Colorado's stud outfielder.
