Normally we might chalk up Chris Archer's recent struggles to the schedule, what with matchups against the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. But the downslide started after he was forced to leave a game early with forearm tightness on September 2nd. While he was ultimately diagnosed with no structural damage, he's only lasted seven combined innings in those two starts since, while allowing 9 earned runs.

He still managed 5 punchouts in each outing, and a 3.29 xFIP suggests he was perhaps a little unlucky, but it's still difficult to have much confidence in Archer right now.
