3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 9/12/17
Lance Lynn may be incredibly cheap on FanDuel, but his declining numbers indicate he might be wearing down.

Carlos Asuaje, 2B, San Diego Padres

FanDuel Price: $2,600

Carlos Asuaje isn't often a guy we look to in DFS, but batting second at a price this cheap always warrants consideration against a pitcher like Kyle Gibson. Gibson has a lackluster 4.84 SIERA, 15.8% strikeout rate, and 35.8% hard-hit rate this season.

However, second base doesn't look like a position on which to skimp tonight. Jose Ramirez, Robinson Cano, Dustin Pedroia, and Brian Dozier are all in amazing spots with implied team totals above 5 runs. Dozier is the only one priced above $4,000, so it shouldn't be difficult to find a way to fit one of them in.

Meanwhile, although Asuaje has a good shot of getting some points off Gibson, his poor power saps his ceiling -- he has just a .102 isolated power (ISO). Add that to a modest implied team total on a weak San Diego Padres team (4.39), and there's a good chance you'll find yourself behind at second base when you miss out on a big game from one of the other guys.
