4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 9/1/17
Facing struggling arm Nick Pivetta, Tyler Moore could make for a strong play. Who else profiles as a solid sleeper?

Tyler Skaggs, SP, Los Angeles Angels

FanDuel Price: $6,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

With Clayton Kershaw on a limit of 75 pitches, all eyes will be on the middle range of starters. And you're not short on options there with Jimmy Nelson ($8,500), Kevin Gausman ($8,700), and Mike Clevinger ($8,500) all presenting solid arguments for investment.

Not only is Tyler Skaggs well below that price range at $6,000, but he's pitching in one of the league's better parks for offense. It's hard to see Skaggs checking in as a popular option Friday.

Why You Should Use Him:

Despite missing some time this season, Skaggs has been effective, recording a 4.37 SIERA, 21.5% strikeout rate, and 21.7% soft-hit rate.

His opponent tonight, the Texas Rangers, have not fared well against left-handed pitching. This season, they've recorded a team .313 wOBA (19th) while whiffing 24.5% of the time.

For a contrarian option that can save you a few bucks, check out Skaggs.
