Hill only threw 84 pitches in his last start, and has only reached 100 twice all season. As a result, he's only made it through six or more innings five times in 18 starts, making it difficult to get that quality start bonus.

Additionally, the Pittsburgh Pirates have an active roster striking out just 18.7% of the time against lefties, throwing a potential wrench to his punchout upside.

Luis Severino, Zack Godley, and even the cheap Luke Weaver (against the San Diego Padres) are more enticing tournament options.
