Jacob deGrom's strikeout numbers are not only the best among the pitchers on tonight's main slate, but his 28.0% strikeout rate ranks eighth among qualifying pitchers and his 13.6% swinging-strike rate ranks sixth. It's not the best mark on the slate, but his 3.57 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) also ranks 12th among qualifying pitchers.

He's had a couple of underwhelming starts recently, but also has 11-plus strikeouts in two of his last four starts, and tonight's matchup positions him about as well as possible in fantasy.

The San Diego Padres have really struggled against right-handed pitching in 2017, ranking 26th with an 87 wRC+ to go with a 25.6% strikeout rate that's the highest in baseball given the situation.
