3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 5/18/17
Jose Bautista is finally turning things around, but it might be better to leave him out of your DFS lineups tonight.

It looks like more wind in the forecast at Wrigley, but for better or for worse, that game is beginning prior to the FanDuel main slate this evening.

That leaves us with a more normal set of circumstances weather-wise -- except with only five games going, we lack much in the way of pitching.

The Miami Marlins have the lowest implied team total versus Hyun-jin Ryu ($7,100), but he's only reached six innings twice this year, leading to just one quality start. Marcus Stroman ($9,200) is a safe choice against the Atlanta Braves, who may have lost Freddie Freeman for a couple months, but he lacks strikeout upside with a 19.0% strikeout rate.

The most intriguing option may actually be Jordan Montgomery ($7,400), who has a 4.40 SIERA, but has a plus matchup on the road against the Kansas City Royals. He has a solid 22.5% strikeout rate, along with a tantalizing 13.4% swinging-strike rate that hints at more.

Hitting-wise, we get Dylan Covey (5.16 SIERA), Edinson Volquez (4.89 SIERA), and Sonny Gray (4.68 SIERA) among those we can attack.

Now, let's get to three guys you should avoid on Thursday.
